It really caught my attention because, in general when you have wireless systems with wifi, you always have doubts about latency... The truth is that I was surprised because the system is very well worked.

Sound engineerThe cool thing about StageWave too, is that it has an equalizer, it has a compressor, so you can not only manage the mix, but you can improve it in different super good aspects.

Jorge Tapia
Musician and singerThe challenge
Unión Cristiana church is one of the largest churches in the Viña del Mar area. The music and worship ministry is well established and has around 5 bands composed of different musicians and singers who perform every Sunday in their 2 consecutive morning services.
Before they used floor monitoring for the singers and the Behringer P16 system for some musicians. However, with the growing incorporation of sequences and clicks among the musicians, the singers faced difficulties in maintaining the beat, as traditional monitoring did not offer a precise time reference.
The solution
To address these challenges, the church implemented StageWave, with an old iMac computer that they left dedicated to do the streaming mix and for StageWave server.
To ensure optimal performance, it was recommended to invest in a quality router, ensure good network cabling and maintain the Wi-Fi network dedicated exclusively to monitoring, avoiding interference from other connections. For this, they used a Tenda AC20 router since it was an economical model and sufficient for 4 wireless connections which is the usual number of singers on stage.
Results
Precision in time and beat
Musicians now have full control over their monitoring, adjusting their mixes without depending on the sound engineer. Now, each musician defines what and how they want to hear, which has optimized audio tests and improves their performance and experience on stage.
Personalized monitoring
By reducing floor monitors, the church achieved a cleaner stage, minimizing acoustic contamination. It also allowed the sound engineer to focus entirely on the room and streaming mix.
Conclusion
The implementation of StageWave transformed the monitoring experience at Unión Cristiana church, providing an innovative and affordable solution to the challenges they faced. Each singer's ability to customize their mix, along with improved sound quality and reduced stage noise, optimized both rehearsals and live performances. The church recommends StageWave to other musical communities looking for a flexible, efficient, and easy-to-implement solution.
